The Christopher C. Gibbs College of Architecture is pleased to announce that Josh Hall will be joining the University of Oklahoma Foundation as the Senior Director of Development for Gibbs College beginning January 3, 2023.
Josh has recently entered his 8th year in Advancement at the University of Illinois, including more than three years in the College of Fine & Applied Arts where he supported the School of Architecture, Department of Landscape Architecture, and Department of Urban & Regional Planning.
In this most recent role, Josh was consistently ranked at the top of his peers for fundraising performance and donor engagement. During the past two years, Josh has completed a 9-month Plus Delta Partners Discipline of Frontline Fundraising training program and a 12-month Leading Forward leadership program.
He holds active membership in the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), and the University of Illinois’ Major Gift Officer Roundtable, Stewardship & Donor Relations Roundtable, and Corporate Relations Network. Josh also previously served three years on the Board of Directors for the local chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
He is a double alumnus of the University of Illinois, earning both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the College of Applied Health Sciences.
Josh and his wife, Amber, and their three boys are looking forward to their upcoming move to Norman and joining the OU family.

Gibbs College of Architecture Institute for Quality Communities (IQC) Director and Division of Planning, Landscape Architecture, and Design (PLAD) faculty member Amber N. Wiley, Ph.D., recently published a new book, Collective Yearning: Black Women Artists from the Zimmerli Art Museum.
In May, students from the Christopher C. Gibbs College of Architecture's Architecture, Environmental Design, and Interior Design programs participated in an intensive five-day Studio in Residence at Taliesin West, the iconic winter home and desert laboratory of Frank Lloyd Wright.
