The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) has named University of Oklahoma alumnus Henry Hepburn a Fellow in its 2021 class. This accomplishment recognizes the contributions of architects to their communities and the profession.
Hepburn, who is an associate professor of architecture at the University of The Bahamas and a noted professional architect, said he was “elated and honored to have been eligible to be elevated to the esteemed level of fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects, for which I give thanks to the almighty [who] has done great things for me.”
Hepburn is an alumnus of two Gibbs College programs. He graduated from the OU Master of Architecture program in 1977 and the OU Master of Regional & City Planning program in 1982.
The Christopher C. Gibbs College of Architecture announces John Harris as Associate Dean for Research ad interim, effective Aug. 25, 2026, until the permanent position is filled.
Gibbs College is pleased to announce the 2026 Gibbs College Faculty & Staff Awards recipients. These individuals were recognized by Dean Butzer during the Gibbs College Back to School Meeting and will be honored during the Celebration Banquet in October. They were nominated by their colleagues via an open nomination process.
Telesis, the Gibbs College of Architecture’s student journal, has been awarded a grant from the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts to support its next two issues, “Pause” (Volume IX) and “React” (Volume X).
