OKC Councilwoman Nikki Nice will facilitate a discussion with Dr. LaVonna Lewis, teaching professor of Public Policy and the associate dean of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy, Dr. Ashanté Reese, assistant professor in the department of Geography and Environmental Sciences at University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and Gibbs College’s own Dr. Bryce Lowery, assistant professor of Regional + City Planning. The Gibbs Design in Action Awards (GDAA) program, led by Dr. Wanda Liebermann, has announced its 2026–2027 funded student projects. The initiative supports design and research work that addresses social, cultural, and economic issues in the built environment through collaboration with faculty and community partners.
