Interior Design Program Overview

The mission of the ID program is to provide professional undergraduate and graduate education in interior design within a collaborative, multidisciplinary learning environment. The disciplinary perspectives share a common pedagogy with GCA’s other divisions, engaging high tech knowledge with high touch skills to prepare new graduates to solve global problems facing the interior design profession.

Job Opportunities

OU’s ID program ranks seventh nationally in the category of “Most Hired From.” Interior design graduates can choose from a variety of career paths upon graduation, including:

Excellent Professional Development

ID students have many opportunities to develop their professional skill sets and become successful alumni. Over the summer, ID students held internships around the country. Recently, Ryan McNitt interned with GFF in Dallas.

One recent ID alumnus, Khoi Hoang, is now a Senior Designer for Gensler. He says that studying at OU gave him a “competitive edge in the workplace.”
