GCA Project Nominated for EDRA’s 2019 “Great Places Award”

During the summers of 2014-2017, associate professor of Architecture Dave Boeck, assistant professor of Regional and City Planning John Harris, alumnus Chris Le, and a number of GCA students from Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Regional and City Planning traveled to Lusaka, Zambia, to help design and assess the success of various architectural and planning projects.

This project has recently been nominated for an Environmental Design  Research Association’s 2019 “Great Places Award.” This award was established to “seek to recognize work that combines expertise in design, research, and practice, and contributes to the creation of dynamic, humane places that engage our attention and imagination.” Honorees will be announced during EDRA50 in Brooklyn, NY, in May 2019.
