Two Gibbs College of Architecture faculty members were recently honored during the 2019 University of Oklahoma Faculty Tribute Ceremony, held in the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art’s Sandy Bell Gallery on Tuesday, April 16. The ceremony was hosted by OU President James L. Gallogly and Senior Vice President and Provost Kyle Harper.

Associate Professor of Architecture Anthony Cricchio was honored with the Good Teaching Award. The Good Teaching Award program was introduced by the Standard Oil (Indiana) Foundation in 1966. The purpose of the program is to recognize excellence in teaching performance at the undergraduate level and to provide an incentive to achieve that goal. The University of Oklahoma has participated in the program since 1968. In 1973, the name of the foundation was changed to the AMOCO Foundation, Inc. and was changed to BP Amoco in the late 1990’s. In 2003 the award was changed to the Good Teaching Award. Two faculty members are selected annually for the Good Teaching Award.

Associate Professor of Architecture Ronald Frantz was honored with the Provost’s Community Engaged Service-Learning Teaching Award.
Honorees are recognized for implementing innovative and effective teaching that demonstrates community collaboration, institutional impact and deeply engaged, high-quality learning. One faculty member is selected annual for the Service-Learning Teaching Award.

Congratulations, Profs. Cricchio and Frantz!
