Architecture Professor Awarded Funding to Attend Renowned Iowa Writers’ Workshop

Associate professor of Architecture Marjorie Callahan was awarded Ed Cline Faculty Development funding to support her Iowa Writers’ Workshop trip during the summer of 2018. During the workshop, Callahan says she plans to focus her writing on a “contemporary essay on my long-term architectural concern about current industrial and commercial building types,” which draws on her research and photography over the past five years. In May, students from the Christopher C. Gibbs College of Architecture's Architecture, Environmental Design, and Interior Design programs participated in an intensive five-day Studio in Residence at Taliesin West, the iconic winter home and desert laboratory of Frank Lloyd Wright.
