Associate professor of Architecture Marjorie Callahan was awarded Ed Cline Faculty Development funding to support her Iowa Writers’ Workshop trip during the summer of 2018. During the workshop, Callahan says she plans to focus her writing on a “contemporary essay on my long-term architectural concern about current industrial and commercial building types,” which draws on her research and photography over the past five years. Telesis, a journal produced by students in the University of Oklahoma Christopher C. Gibbs College of Architecture, has earned first place in the 2026 Douglas Haskell Award for Student Journals for its seventh volume, “Unfold.” This marks the fourth time the publication has earned recognition for excellence in student architectural journalism. It shares the honor with student journals from Columbia University, University of Michigan, and Cal Poly.
