In the second Spring 2018 issue of _543, An Architectural Theory and Criticism Newsletter , OU Division of Architecture graduate student editors Kyle Berger and Mansoor Eqrar present four essays including “The Meaning of Architecture is out of the Architect’s Control ,” by John “Ben” DeCuyper; “Somaya Museum, a review ” by Bethany Grissom; “Through the Silver Tube: A Look at OMA ,” by Cody Poage; and “An Architectural Pendulum: Or Another Loos is Needed,” also by DeCuyper.
Christopher C. Gibbs College of Architecture professor and Institute for Quality Communities Director Dr. Amber N. Wiley’s book, Model Schools in the Model City: Race, Planning, and Education in the Nation’s Capital, has received two major honors from the Urban History Association.
Research initiated by Christopher C. Gibbs College of Architecture alumna Naila Hasan during her master’s studies at the University of Oklahoma has continued through faculty collaboration and resulted in a peer-reviewed publication in HERD: Health Environments Research & Design Journal.
