A team of five College of Architecture students, led by faculty adviser Prof. Tammy McCuen and team captain Hannah Lang, and including Matthew Festa, Zach Parnell, Anika Saynyarack, and Jafer Alnasser, recently earned the top place in the Design-Build Institute of America’s Southwest Region for the 2017 National Student Competition. As the first place winners, the team will receive complimentary registration for the 2017 Design-Build Conference & Expo, where they will compete in the National Finals in November!

Gibbs College of Architecture Institute for Quality Communities (IQC) Director and Division of Planning, Landscape Architecture, and Design (PLAD) faculty member Amber N. Wiley, Ph.D., recently published a new book, Collective Yearning: Black Women Artists from the Zimmerli Art Museum.
In May, students from the Christopher C. Gibbs College of Architecture's Architecture, Environmental Design, and Interior Design programs participated in an intensive five-day Studio in Residence at Taliesin West, the iconic winter home and desert laboratory of Frank Lloyd Wright.
