Sharon is a Lecturer at the Christopher C. Gibbs College of Architecture at the University of Oklahoma. Her work is grounded in a deep commitment to the humanities and a belief in the power of historical study to illuminate the complexities of human culture and architectural achievement.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Classics and Letters from the University of Oklahoma and a Post-Bachelor’s Certificate in Museum Studies from the Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London. Sharon earned her Master’s in Art History from Indiana University, where her research focused on comparative studies of Roman and Persian monumental architecture, visual culture, and numismatics.
Through extensive fieldwork across Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa, she has explored the architectural and cultural intersections of ancient civilizations. Her scholarship reflects a global perspective on the enduring influence of imperial design traditions and their relevance to contemporary architectural discourse.
