LaTasha Timberlake, a native of Oklahoma, is an education consultant with over 20 years of experience in program development, implementation, and supervision across local, national, and international contexts. Her work supports nonprofits and community organizations through coaching, strategic planning, and grant management. She has partnered with groups such as Its’ My Community Initiative, The Ralph Ellison Foundation, The City of Indianapolis, C.H.U.M.S OKC, Work Ready Oklahoma, Northeast OKC Renaissance, and Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center.

Throughout her career, LaTasha has served in a wide range of educational roles, including classroom teacher, youth programming director, director of education, school climate specialist, teacher/leader evaluation coordinator, and headmaster. Her leadership reflects a deep commitment to equity, student empowerment, and community engagement.

In 2019, she founded Lillian Timber Farms, a nonprofit urban farm in Northeast Oklahoma City that promotes healthy living and organic food production in underserved communities. The farm has distributed more than 1,000 pounds of produce, hosted educational programs, and collaborated with local environmental and agricultural organizations. Its monthly “Work Parties”—community gatherings inspired by indigenous traditions—bring neighbors together to work the land, share meals, and celebrate collective effort. The farm has received multiple recognitions and funding awards for its impact.

LaTasha is also deeply involved in civic life. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and serves on several boards and committees, including the Oklahoma Local Agriculture Collaborative, the Sustainability Alliance Programs Committee, the Variety Care Foundation Board, and the OKCMOA Moderns Board. She played a key role in launching the Metropolitan Library System’s “Metro Grows” program, which offers free gardening education and tool lending through local libraries.

Currently, LaTasha is the Director of RestoreOKC Schools and an instructor in the PLAD program at the Christopher C. Gibbs College of Architecture at the University of Oklahoma, where she continues to shape future leaders through place-based education and community-centered design.
