Dr. Kofi Asare is an Assistant Professor of Construction Science at the University of Oklahoma and Principal Investigator of the Construction Innovation and Analytics Lab (CInnaLAB). His research focuses on digitalized and data-driven built environments, integrating design, construction science, facility management, software engineering, and computer science to guide facility owners and researchers in optimizing building performance.
Central to his work is the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM)–based Digital Twins as intelligent realities. Through this approach, Dr. Asare explores how advanced digital processes can help facility owners maximize the value of their investments while creating safe, comfortable environments for users through analytics-informed decision-making.
In addition to his research, Dr. Asare is committed to mentoring undergraduate students through teaching-based research experiences, fostering early engagement with innovation in the built environment.
