Andy Denton is a multi-media artist, metal fabricator, sculptor, and potter whose work is marked by a curiosity about humankind’s relationship with nature and spirituality. Denton has exhibited his work across the United States and Europe and earned recognition through various grants, including the 2024 Catalyze Grant from the Mid-America Arts Alliance.

Denton’s expertise spans metal and ceramic sculpture, with a focus on public art and sculptural functional ceramics. His artistic practice is complemented by a passion for teaching and mentorship, demonstrated in roles such as Artist-in-Residence at the Armory Art Center in West Palm Beach, FL, and Studio Manager for Interlochen Center for the Arts, where he served for eight summers.

Currently serving as Sculpture Technician and Adjunct Instructor at the University of Oklahoma, Denton teaches and supports students in sculpture fabrication, welding, metal casting and CNC plasma cutting. Before which, he lived in Little Rock Arkansas where he was a private sculptor’s studio manager and welder. He is originally from Richmond, VA.
