At this year’s GIS Day at OU, hosted by the Center for Spatial Analysis on October 31st, the Oklahoma Memorial Union was alive with energy as geospatial enthusiasts, industry professionals, and talented students came together to showcase their work in mapping, remote sensing, and GIS analysis.
A standout moment was the Student Poster and StoryMaps Competition, where participants vied for top prizes. We are thrilled to announce that Parisa Masnadi, a PhD candidate and graduate research assistant at the Data Institute for Societal Challenges, claimed the 1st place prize of $1,000! Parisa's project captivated the judges with its originality and relevance, showcasing her dedication to advancing geospatial science.
Congratulations to Parisa and all participants for making GIS Day a truly memorable and inspiring event!
