Mike Banad, an associate professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, led DISC’s community of practice event, “Brain-inspired Computing, Cognitive Computing, and Autonomous Intelligence Systems” on October 4 in Gallogly Hall.
A dozen attendees from multiple disciplines group shared their collective expertise in machine learning, computational neuroscience, theoretical computer science, neuromorphic hardware, neuro-mimetic circuits and devices, material design and fabrications, distributed computing, robotics, and autonomous systems, with a particular focus on integrated sensing and decision-making frameworks.
