Kalenda Eaton’s teaching and research areas include Black women’s narratives; literary and cultural history of the Black West; and African Diaspora studies. Dr. Eaton is a Fulbright Fellow, Associate Fellow in the Center for Great Plains Studies, and has received funding from the Mellon Foundation, the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), and the Social Science Research Council. She was Director of Global Learning at Arcadia University from 2014-2016, and has traveled with students to locations such as Ethiopia, Ghana, Benin, and South Africa.
