Fathimath Nayifa Nihad (she/her) is an international student from the Maldives and the recipient of Fern Holland Award and William W. Talley II Award. Some of Nihad’s projects include an underwater coral garden funded by Davis Projects for Peace and an environmental campaign called Eco Baddies to recenter the focus of the climate crisis on frontline communities, communities of color, and marginalized communities.
