Gallogly College of Engineering proudly congratulates Dr. Randall Kolar, director of the School of Civil Engineering and Environmental Science (CEES) and professor in CEES, on being named a 2026 recipient of the Oklahoma Medal for Excellence.
Presented by the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence, the Medal for Excellence is one of the state’s most prestigious honors for educators. The award recognizes public school educators for their passion and innovation, commitment to professional development, and extraordinary impact on student learning. Honorees are selected through a nomination process open to colleagues, students, parents, and community members.
Kolar was presented with the award and an accompanying prize on Wednesday, April 8, during a visit to his classroom in Sarkeys Energy Center. The recognition highlights his dedication to teaching excellence and his lasting influence on students both inside and beyond the classroom.
