Bio
Previously working as math faculty, I was drawn to working in the Gallogly College of Engineering by the passion and persistence of students while teaching College Algebra in the Engineering Summer Bridge program. My mission is to help students meet their goals by removing any barriers that pop up through learning mathematics within their degree program. Using my background in mathematics classrooms and motivation/emotion research, I work with students on math content, academic success skills, or navigating their available resources. I spent a lot of time, energy, and failures on learning how to study and use my resources in my first attempts at higher education, and my passions are now with helping students do the same in ways that are far less expensive and time consuming.
