In Fall 2026, OU alumnus Jason Lee Byas (B.A., Philosophy & Sociology, 2014) will be starting as Assistant Professor of Philosophy & Political Economy at Tulane University. Jason is currently a Junior Faculty Fellow at the Georgetown Institute for the Study of Markets & Ethics, and before that received his PhD in Philosophy from the University of Michigan (2025) and his M.A. from Georgia State University (2017). Jason works on ethics, political philosophy, and philosophy of law, especially on issues surrounding punishment and other forms of responding to wrongdoing.
