Two Students Awarded Prestigious Summer Research Scholarships

Two OU undergraduate students working at the OU Proteomics Core Facility have been awarded two prestigious Summer Research Scholarships from Georgetown University and MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Anayat Yousuf works with Dr. Nagib Ahsan (OU Proteomics Core Facility), was selected for Georgetown University School of Medicine's ARCHES Program.

Annelise Huynh works with Drs. Zhibo Yang and Nagib Ahsan, got accepted into MD Anderson Cancer Center's CPRIT-CURE summer program in Houston, Texas.

Also, Annelise Huynh has been awarded the Astronaut Scholarship. The Astronaut Scholarship is a nationally competitive scholarship offered to exceptional U.S. undergraduate students in STEM fields, aiming to support future leaders in science and technology.

  • Award amount: Up to $15,000 for one academic year.
