How does the College of Arts and Sciences plan to use ArtSci funds?
Funds from ArtSci membership are split two ways, one towards membership in the OU Alumni Association and secondly towards the Dean's discretionary fund. Dean Kelly Damphousse uses the discretionary fund to support top priorities for the College, which include revitalizing undergraduate education and reducing the financial burden of CAS students through scholarship support. ArtSci funds help to keep the infinite possibilities open to all students in the College of Arts and Sciences.
What options do I have when making my contribution?
Signing a pledge card begins your membership as an Associate. Your tax-deductible gift can be made at that time or at a later date either by check, debit card, stock transfer, credit card (Master Card, Visa, American Express, Discover), or Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Participation is on an annual basis. You will be invited to renew your membership one year from the date of your initial gift.
My company has a matching gift program. How do I use this plan?
Matching funds are accepted for this program. All you have to do is fill out the matching gift form (available from your Human Resources department), send it to OU with your gift, and the OU Foundation will take care of processing the funds with your company.
I want to support the College, but I also would like to support my college. Can I do both?
In order to maximize the impact of ArtSci funds all membership contributions go toward support for the dean's discretionary fund. Although this is not an option for ArtSci members, the leading annual giving program for the University of Oklahoma, President's Associates, allows half of the contribution to be designated for a college or academic program, so you can belong to the President’s Associates and give to your college at the same time.
