Claire Nicholas recently received a $17,761.00 grant from the USDA to support interview-based research on perceptions and experiences of rural life in the Great Plains, and decisions to stay, leave, or return to rural communities. The study is part of a larger research and extension project on rural flight and economic opportunities for youth, with collaborators Surin Kim (PI) and Maria de Guzman (Co-PI) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
