On March 8, 2024, the SoM Student Affairs Committee (SAC), teamed up with the College of Atmospheric and Geographic Sciences (A&GS) to host their Annual Multicultural Festival.
This year’s festival delighted attendees with 28 dishes, skillfully prepared by students, faculty, staff, and researchers within the National Weather Center (NWC) and A&GS. Complementing the diverse food assortments, five esteemed local caterers – Mamaveca, Taste of India, Sisters Mediterranean, Thai Delight, and Wing It – added their flavors to the festivities. Additionally, the event was elevated by captivating performances from Sitaraas, ArmSO, Afrobeatz, and the Latin Dance Club, four distinguished student organizations from OU’s main campus.
“The goal of Multicultural Fest has always been to celebrate the diversity of cultures we have here within the School of Meteorology (SoM), the National Weather Center (NWC), and the College of Atmospheric and Geographic Sciences (A&GS) as a whole,” stated Emily Lenhardt, SAC Chair.
She and the rest of the SAC Committee, would like to thank each of the sponsors, performers, and attendees, who helped make this celebration a success.
