During Sooner Saturday, you’ll get a real taste of life as a student at OU! Make the day your own by:

  • Exploring Campus: Go on campus tours and explore residential living communities to see where you’ll study, hang out, and make lifelong memories.

  • Connect with Your Interests: Discover your perfect major by exploring academic programs and chatting with faculty. Get the inside scoop on campus life — meet student orgs, find your community, and see what makes OU special.

  • Event Exclusives: Score an exclusive OU t-shirt and hear from OU President Joseph Harroz, Jr., and have the opportunity to attend OU’s first-ever Crimson Combine after Sooner Saturday, making this an event you won’t want to miss!

7:15 AM to 8:15 AM - Check-In & Registration

8:30 AM to 9:15 AM - Opening Session

9:15 AM to 12:00 PM - Explore OU
You get to decide how you want to use your time during this portion of the event, see it all or only what you need!

  • OU Campus Walking Tours

  • Explore Residential Housing Options: Self-Guided Walk Throughs

  • Sooner Showcase: Meet & Greet with Academic Colleges, Campus Departments, & Student Organizations

  • Paying for OU: Informational Sessions (offered for both Oklahoma Residents & Non-Residents)

Session Details

During the opening session, you will hear from current students and staff at OU and hear a warm welcome from OU President, Joseph Harroz, Jr. We will walk you through what to expect at the event and guide you through common questions you may have at this stage of the college search process. 

Campus tours will last approximately 45-minutes and be offered throughout the day. Tours are led by current student tour guides who will show you a behind the scenes look at campus.

 

All incoming first-year students are guaranteed an on-campus housing experience. Many on-campus residence halls will be open this day for you to walk through various living community options. You will get to take a closer look at what distinguishes each living option as well as see where community is built

To get a jumpstart on exploring housing, you can learn more about the different residence halls and navigate the varying housing rates per community

There is so much more to explore across campus stop by the Sooner Showcase to learn more about different resources, departments, student organizations, and programs across campus!

These presentations given throughout the day by OU’s MidFirst Bank MoneyCoaches are about paying for OU and the basics of financial aid. Sessions are provided for both Oklahoma Residents and Non-Oklahoma Residents.

CLEAR BAG POLICY

OU has implemented a clear bag policy for our large venues on campus, including McCasland Fieldhouse where the event will begin. Please review the clear bag policy (jpg) and carry in policy (pdf) prior to coming to campus.

OU Crimson Combine
Saturday, April 12

The OU Crimson Combine will take place following Sooner Saturday at 1 p.m. The event will feature Oklahoma football players and coaching staff members participating in combine-style drills and on-field fan activities. Students who register and attend Sooner Saturday will receive a link to purchase discounted tickets to attend Crimson Combine.

OU Baseball vs. Vanderbilt
Different times throughout the weekend

OU Baseball will host Vanderbilt at home Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

OU CAC Scandals
Friday, April 9 to Sunday, April 13

A musical revue composed of seven Broadway-style acts directed and performed entirely by OU students, Scandals is one of the ultimate showcases of our students' creativity. Visit the CAC Scandals webpage for more information.
