Career Center is OU’s ultimate resource for finding the right major or minor, landing internship and connecting with employers and professionals (including Sooner alumni!) for full-time positions.

Students meet with their academic advisors each semester to stay on track and to create a plan for graduation. Advisors are experts in degree program requirements and can provide valuable advice and information about getting the most out of your OU experience!

Graduation Planners are provided at your first enrollment meeting, filled with campus history, class and enrollment information, guide to academics and more! The planners are meant for Sooners to stay on track to graduate with ease.

How OU Grads Use Their Degree

Mia-Lynne Smith

Tulsa native Mia-Lynne Smith was honored with OU's Overall Outstanding Senior award after completing a bachelor's degree focusing on marketing and Entrepreneurship. Leaving behind a legacy of mentorship for future OU students, Mia-Lynne looks forward to competing in the Miss Oklahoma pageant this summer.

Andrew Jacob

From recording a music score for the movie Iké Boys to beginning his own student organization, Oklahoma City native Andrew Jacob spent his OU career building strong personal and professional connections. Andrew's next steps are taking him to Scotland to the Royal Conservatoire.

Uzo Ogbanufe

Uzo Ogbanufe

Texas native Uzo Ogbanufe used her time at OU to complete two internships as a software and computer engineer, won a hackathon, and secured her next steps in her professional field with Microsoft in Dallas, Texas.

Alumni Organizations

The Alumni Association provides members a networking outlet to visit with old friends and to meet other Sooners in their area. It helps keep alumni informed of campus activities as well as sponsor events, such as watch parties, picnics, special guest speakers, and numerous other fun activities.

The Alumni Ambassador program empowers alumni to engage in the recruitment process and attract the best students to the University of Oklahoma. Ambassadors attend OU events and visits, write letters to potential students and help provide potential students with information about OU.

President’s Associates connects alumni, and their annual leadership donations support the mission of the University in promoting efforts to help students achieve their educational goals.
