This past weekend, the University of Oklahoma hosted indoor graduation ceremonies in the Lloyd Noble Center with graduates and guests in attendance. Based on our experience, we are happy to report that tickets for the upcoming OU Health Sciences Center graduation ceremonies are no longer required.
There will be no reserved seating at the Lloyd Noble Center. All seating (including accessible seating) will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Guest seating will be sectioned into groups of four. Graduates will be seated on the arena floor.
We’re aware of the CDC’s newly issued guidance, but we also know that in Oklahoma, the majority of individuals are still not yet fully vaccinated. In light of that, and because it is too late for OU to change its protocols for events of this scale, we will still strongly encourage mask wearing, particularly for those who are not fully vaccinated. We also understand and respect those fully vaccinated individuals who choose to follow the new CDC recommendations relative to masking during graduation activities.
All guests and graduates will pass through a security screening before entering the Lloyd Noble Center.
The clear bag policy remains in effect at the Lloyd Noble Center. To view a list of prohibited items, click here. Umbrellas will be permitted.

In case of inclement weather, the first option would be to delay the ceremony to later in the day/evening in the Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.
If that is not feasible, we will move the ceremony indoors to Lloyd Noble Center (2900 S. Jenkins Ave.), where ceremonies would be livestreamed and only graduates could attend.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 safety precautions, we would not be able to accommodate guests of graduates if we move indoors to Lloyd Noble Center.
University Events has announced safety protocols for May graduation ceremonies.
Services are available to those attending ceremonies who may require specific accommodations based on accessibility needs.
