Don Wetekam is the inaugural Brock Executive in Residence for the Jerry Holmes Leadership Program and the Gallogly College of Engineering at the University of Oklahoma, a position he has held since 2018. In this role, he interacts with students, faculty and staff to provide a practical, executive-level perspective on leadership, ethics and related topics. In addition to his duties with the engineering college, Wetekam works with the University’s Office of the Vice President of Research and Partnerships as chief strategist for the Oklahoma Aerospace & Defense Innovation Institute.
Prior to joining the University, General Wetekam served 34 years on active duty with the U.S. Air Force, holding several key leadership positions in aircraft maintenance, logistics, and supply chain management. After retiring from the Air Force in 2007, he served 11 years as an officer with AAR Corporation, a leading aviation services company.
General Wetekam holds a Bachelor of Science from the U.S Air Force Academy, a Master of Engineering Administration from the University of Utah, and a Master of National Resource Management from the National Defense University.
