The Wall Street Journal's inaugural ranking of "Best Colleges for Your Dream Career" in Engineering was released May 4. The University of Oklahoma, the only university in the state to make the top 20 list, ranked #12 amidst a list that includes UCLA, UT Austin and Colorado School of Mines.
The WSJ listed the top 20 public colleges for engineering salaries noting that graduates from these universities earn higher pay than the median graduate in engineering.
"Our graduates not only earn their diploma, they earn more from their employers as they enter the workforce, said John Klier, dean of the Gallogly College of Engineering. "Notification of this ranking is particularly timely as we look forward to this Saturday's convocation and witnessing more Oklahoma educated engineers fulfilling their educational dreams as they begin their career."
