The Microsoft CMT service was used for managing the peer-reviewing process for this conference. This service was provided for free by Microsoft and they bore all expenses, including costs for Azure cloud services as well as for software development and support.

The paper submission deadline is July 31, 2026.

There are three types of submissions for this conference.

  • Full Papers (5-15 pages)
  • Short Papers (2-4 pages)
  • Student Posters (2-4 pages)
    Full Papers, Student Authored Full Papers and Student Posters are eligible for awards.

Paper Formatting Guidelines & Template

The 2026 ASEE Midwest Conference will use Microsoft Conference Management Toolkit (MS CMT) for paper management. To submit papers, please do the following:

1. Go to MS CMT website and click button for Login.

   Notes:

  • If you are not an account holder, click "Register" to create an account, and then log into the system.
    • To finalize registration, it may take 2 – 3 minutes for the confirmation email to arrive in your Inbox.
  • If you are already an account holder, log into the system with your credentials.

2. Find this conference: “ASEE 2026 Midwest Section Conference” (ASEEMidwest2026). A “How-To” guide is available here.

   Note:

  • You may use the Filter available on that page by typing “ASEE” (do not press enter after typing ASEE or you will return to the “My Conferences” page). 

3. Submit your paper and include all required submission information. A “How-To” guide is available here.

   Notes:

  • The system accepts only PDF files.
  • Two keywords should be input describing your work should be input into the "subject areas" section.
