On campus: Any building or property owned or controlled by the university within the same reasonably contiguous geographic area of the university and used by the university in direct support of, or in a manner related to, the university’s educational purposes.
Non-Campus: Includes any building or property owned or controlled
by student organizations officially recognized by the school; or any building or property (other than a branch campus) owned or controlled by the school, that is used in direct support of, or in relation to, the school’s educational purposes, is frequently used by students, and that is not within the same reasonably contiguous area of the school.
On Campus Housing: defined as “any student housing facility that is owned or controlled by the institution or is located on property that is owned or controlled by the institution and is within the reasonably contiguous geographic area that makes up campus.”
Public Property: All public property that is within the same reasonably contiguous geographic area of the school, such as a sidewalk, a street, other thoroughfare, or parking facility, and is adjacent to a facility owned or controlled by the school if the facility is used by the school in direct support of, or in a manner related to the university’s educational purpose.
