You can see what is left when the rubble
is removed.
Just two weeks prior this area was solid
rock! I am always amazed by the power of Dynamite.
Today, the pool of water contains sediment,
but with a few good rains the pool should be flushed and the water will
change to a beautiful blue green color.
With time, the water will smooth the rock
surface and create new and interesting water features. The pictures
don't show it..., but the space inside the crater is very pleasant and
private. This will be a very interesting place when the vegetation
is re-established.
