In this page I will recommend several other pages that you might go to to find out more about Thailand.  There is a lot to learn about Thailand that I have not included in my web page as it would be extremely long.

In order to promote tourism in Thailand, the government has launched a campaign called "Amazing Thailand"This promotion started in 1998 and will last till the end of 1999.  "Amazing Thailand" encourages not only foreigners but also Thais to visit the many splendours that the country has to offer.  With the Asian economic crisis still in our mists, it is more beneficial to the country economically if Thais spend their money on Thai products and services.

Thailand was recently the host of the 13th Asian Games during December 6 - 20, 1998.  The Games were held in Bangkok, our nation's capital.  This is the fourth time that Thailand has been given the honor of hosting these sporting events.  Last year's events were very successful with Thailand coming in fourth with 24 gold medals.

Thailand has two very successful English language newspapers, the Bangkok Post and The Nation.  Both of these newspapers are published in Thailand and provide domestic as well as international news.

The last web page that I would like to recommend is the Thai Student Association at the University of Oklahoma page.  This page was first developed in the fall semester of 1997.  We intended to use the page to promote our first ever Thai Night, but as time went by, we added more and more activities and new links.  I hope you enjoy the Association's web page.
