The College of International Studies provides limited funds to encourage and support IAS graduate and undergraduate internship opportunities. Students may apply for one $2,000 internship grant per academic year for travel and housing support related to international internship activities.
Students receiving an Internship Support Grant must enroll in IAS 3910 or IAS 5913 for internship credit.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Must be a full-time, regularly enrolled undergraduate IAS student who has completed a minimum of one year of study at OU, or a MAIS graduate student who has completed at least nine credit hours of graded coursework
2. Must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 for undergraduates or 3.5 for graduate students
Deadlines:
Fall internships: August 15
Spring Internships: November 15
Summer Internships: April 15
IMPORTANT NOTES:
If you are traveling out of the US, you must register your emergency contact information with OU Education Abroad (there is a $50 fee for this service), and you must purchase CMI insurance through OU Education Abroad.
Any student unable to complete the program will be required to return the full amount of the award to the College of International Studies.
