Enes Kanter Scholarship

The Enes Kanter Scholarship was created to honor a professional basketball player originally from Turkey who played for the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA. Embrace Relief partnered with Mr. Kanter to establish a scholarship fund supporting college students. Through connection to the Raindrop Turkish House of Oklahoma City, Embrace Relief and the Enes Kanter Education Fund was introduced to the College of International Studies. The Enes Kanter Scholarship provides recognition and financial assistance annually to an undergraduate IAS student of high academic standing and demonstrated financial need. 


Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be a full-time, regularly enrolled undergraduate student in the College of International Studies
  • Must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Must have a demonstrated financial need
  • Must not be the Donor or an immediate family member of the Donor 

Additional consideration will be given to female students or students who demonstrate an interest in/commitment to increasing the prevalence of, or improving the role of, women in the field of international studies.
