Master of Arts in Global Affairs (GAMA): Middle Eastern Studies Concentration
The online GAMA program enables students to pursue studies with a focus on the political, economic and social interactions that have an impact on global turbulence. Coursework is designed to provide students with a global vision from a variety of disciplinary perspectives.
A concentration in Middle East Studies is available within the online Master of Arts in Global Affairs (GAMA) at the College of International Studies. This concentration allows students in theMaster of Arts in Global Affairs program to gain in-depth knowledge of the Middle East and develop postgraduate expertise in the region's history, culture, and politics. Students not only engage in readings and discussions from a distance but also gain practical experience of studying abroad in the region.

Arabic language courses from beginning to advanced are offered through the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Linguistics in the Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences. Students have the option of majoring or minoring in Arabic and can also study topics such as literature, media and contemporary issues.
Hebrew
Hebrew language courses from beginning to advanced are offered through the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Linguistics in the Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences. Students have the option of minoring in Hebrew and can also study Biblical Hebrew.
Persian
Persian language courses from beginning to advanced are offered through the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Linguistics in the Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences. Persian language is required for a minor in Iranian Studies.
