Dr. Mina Raminsabet is a lecturer of Persian at the University of Oklahoma’s Farzaneh Family Center for Iranian and Persian Gulf Studies. She holds a Ph.D. in Persian Language and Literature from the University of Tehran and has over a decade of experience teaching Persian to both heritage and non-heritage learners. Prior to joining OU, she taught at the University of Tehran and the Saadi Foundation, where she worked with international students across various proficiency levels. Dr. Raminsabet is a certified ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) tester, and her language teaching aligns with ACTFL’s proficiency-based standards, integrating communicative methods with rich cultural and literary content.

In addition to her work in language instruction, Dr. Raminsabet teaches courses on Persian literature and culture. Her research and publications focus on classical Persian poetry, textual criticism, and the intellectual history of Persian literary figures. She is an active contributor to the field through her editorial work with World Literature Today, participation in professional organizations such as AATP and ACTFL, and leadership roles in national and campus literature and translation prize committees.
