Information for Host Families

Are you interested in learning about different cultures and building friendships with international students? Friends to International Students is a program that matches international students with a family or individual from the local community. Not a live-in program, the goal of FIS is to assist international students during their first year as they transition into life at OU. Volunteer host families include their students in holiday meals, game nights, sporting events, movie nights and many other fun activities at least once per month. This program is a wonderful opportunity for host families to make a difference in a young person's life as they share cultures and experiences.

If you are interested in being a part of FIS and serving as a host family for a semester or a year please fill out the host family application.
