Mary’s current instructional endeavors include teaching Foundation and Concentration courses across the graduate curriculum in the MSW program, as well as courses in the new BSW program, University of Oklahoma-Tulsa. In addition to acting in the role as a Faculty Liaison for students in their BSW and  MSW first or final practicum experiences, she regularly engages in supervising MSW graduates who are working toward their clinical license, many of whom are working in schools or through school based agencies.  

Mary has been the coordinator of an elective in International Child Welfare Exchange since its inception. This elective, sponsored through the Schusterman Foundation, promotes an exchange of Social Work students and faculty between Haruv Institute, Israel and the University of Oklahoma with a focus on the improvement and standardization of services to children and youth in the Child Welfare system on an international level.

Mary has received awards for her teaching, engaged in private practice with individuals and families, worked in hospital-based case management, home health and hospice. She has done psycho educational assessments in public as well as private schools.
