Kirby Cannon, LCSW joined the faculty at the Anne and Henry Zarrow School of Social Work after practicing as a therapist for 8 years. During her years as a therapist, she specialized in crisis services and trauma-informed care. She obtained National Certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy.
In addition to teaching, Kirby is a coordinator for the online MSW program. Kirby is involved in research efforts to expand mental health services for communities with limited access. She enjoys working with community partners and expanding the greater community of social workers.
Outside of work, Kirby loves spending time with her kids, labradoodle, and backyard chickens.
