Biography

Cyrus is an associate professor with a focus on applied quantitative methods and statistical communication. In 2020, Cyrus’s research and teaching were acknowledged with the Irene Rothbaum Award for Outstanding Assistant Professor. 

Cyrus regularly teaches courses on applied social statistics at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. He also coordinates the Advanced Quantitative Methods Working Group (ADQUANT) and is the faculty advisor for the Dialogues of Contemporary Sociology Workshop (DOCS).
