On September 19, 2025, Museum Studies faculty members Dace Demir, Linda Endersby, Francesca Giani, Jason Harris, Laura Phillips, and James Ricker represented the OU Online Master's in Museum Studies at the Oklahoma Museum Association Conference.
The Museum Studies faculty-led panel promoted the program to an audience of current and prospective museum professionals. The session provided an in-depth overview of the curriculum and student project samples, highlighting professional competencies ranging from community engagement to digital project management that demonstrate how our courses translate directly to museum practice.
An extended Q&A with attendees yielded valuable feedback on the state of the field and on the competencies most in demand across museums today.
