My lab group studies the role of global change in shaping mammal biodiversity across a broad range of temporal and spatial scales.
By linking the breadth and depth of information that can be accessed through museum collections with field-collected and genomic data, our work provides unique insights into how and where biodiversity is distributed across the planet, including what forces have shaped its distribution in the past, and allows us to predict future responses to changing climates.
By translating primary biodiversity research into understanding conservation threats (e.g., climate change, habitat loss, zoonotic diseases),undergraduate educational, and outreach, our research is helps to lay the foundation for a more informed populace and ecologically sound future.
