Dr. Tyler Johnson teaches courses in American political behavior (including mass media, campaigns and elections, and public opinion). His research agenda focuses on how information affects attitudes toward elites, issues, popular culture, and society.
Originally from Streamwood, Illinois, Tyler joined the department in 2009 after receiving his B.A. in Political Science from Northwestern University and his Ph.D. in Political Science from Texas A&M University. He also serves as Director of the Cortez A.M. Ewing Public Service Fellowship.
