The four primary research fields in the department hold a weekly journal club to discuss papers and their own research. In addition, these meetings serve multiple functions for our students, including expanding knowledge base, fostering critical thinking, and improving presentation skills. Reading the paper beforehand is generally the best way to utilize the time spent in the journal club.
