Message Students Who...

Messaging students regarding their assignments is easy using the “Message Students Who...” tool in the Grade Book. Canvas allows you to send bulk messages to groups of students for a variety of reasons including:

▶ Haven’t submitted yet

▶ Haven’t been graded

▶ Scored less than

▶ Scored more than

I wasn't able to grade your assignment. Please make sure you've submitted it. Great job on the Case Study. You had an excellent score. Above the instructor is text which reads Message students from the grade book regarding their assignments.

Examples:

  • “I noticed you haven’t turned in your paper for Assignment 1! Make sure to get it in by…”

  • “I wasn’t able to grade your assignment. Please make sure you’ve submitted it.”

  • "Great job on the Case Study. You had an excellent score!”

  • “You are receiving this message because you scored less than 70 on your Ch 3 quiz. Review the notes on this chapter to be ready for the midterm.”
