Originally from Madrid, Spain, Bobby Clinton came to Oklahoma as a child. He attained a bachelor’s degree with a dual major in Spanish and political science from the University of Oklahoma in 2004 and later returned to OU to get a master’s degree in Spanish in 2013. Today, he is a Ph.D. candidate focusing on Peninsular Spanish literature and is currently researching the 19th century novels of Benito Pérez Galdós, Emilia Pardo Bazán, and Leopoldo Alas «Clarín» in the context of the Bourbon Restoration. He teaches lower-level Beginning and Intermediate Spanish (1115, 1225, 2113) courses as well as upper level courses like Spanish in Conversation (3073), Introduction to Spanish Literature and Culture (3853), and Medical Spanish (3733).
