Originally from Oklahoma, I received my M.A. in Latin American Language and Literature from la Universidad de las Américas Puebla (Mexico) in 2003. After teaching at Oklahoma State University for six years, I moved to Austin to do my doctoral work at the University of Texas. I have been teaching at OU since 2016.

At OU, I have taught first- through third-semester Spanish as well as conversation and composition classes. I enjoy engaging with my students in the classroom and my interaction with them helps me to gain new perspectives on Spanish grammar and vocabulary, as well as on Spanish-speaking cultures.
