Ms. Shafer earned her M.B.A from the University of Central Oklahoma. She joined MLLL in Spring 2023 as an Instructor of Japanese. Since 1998, Ms. Shafer has worked in several different Japanese and English teaching positions at Oklahoma City Community College and Kanagawa Dental University. Currently she is teaching at the University of Maryland Global Campus, the University of Central Oklahoma, and the University of Oklahoma. She has had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students of all backgrounds and cultures and has worked for both American and Japanese universities.
Since 2023, Ms. Shafer has taught JAPN 2013 Intermediate Japanese and JAPN 3013 Advanced Japanese at the University of Oklahoma.
