Bruce A. Boggs, Associate Professor of Spanish and Graduate Liaison, received the Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin where he concentrated on modern Spanish Peninsular literature. Bruce came to the University of Oklahoma in 1995 as a Visiting Assistant Professor and was hired as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in 1996. Since then, his teaching and writing have explored interarts relations between Spanish literature and music, Spanish women writers in the modern period, flamenco culture in literature, and Spanish poetry and theater. Bruce’s research has been supported by the College of Arts and Sciences, the Presidential International Travel Fellowship, the Bizzell Library at the University of Oklahoma, and two grants from the Program for Cultural Cooperation between Spain’s Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sports, and United States Universities.
